Many people today still struggle with trying to quit smoking and while the initiative is admirable, to go cold turkey and quit smoking is no easy feat. To help encourage people to quit smoking, graphic designer Jorge Martin created this 'Stop Smoking or Die Trying' infographic to expose the harsh health realities of smoking.

The 'Stop Smoking or Die Trying' surrounds itself around an enormous image of a deconstructed cigarette. Each piece of the cigarette is dissected to reveal the harmful toxins -- like nicotine, DDT and carbon monoxide -- embedded inside. This infographic also highlights the startling statistic that 5.5 trillion cigarettes are smoked by people around the world each year. With bar graphs shaped like cigarettes and a detailed list of the harmful effects long term smoking can have on the body, this infographic should really hit home to those trying to decide whether they should quit smoking.
