Johnny Rotten for Dairy Crest Butter|
If this had been sent out in April I would have been convinced it was a wind-up. But it hasn’t and it is true. Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon, perhaps better known as Johnny Rotten, has become the new face of British butter Dairy Crest. The singer will apparently appear in Country Life TV ads for the butter, which is the last remaining major British brand. A spokesperson said Lydon had been chosen because he is “a great British icon.” “His independent views are part of his consumer appeal and his tongue-in-cheek sense of humor shines through in our TV advertising.” The first ad featuring Lydon is expected to start broadcasting soon. I hope he does better than when he was on “I Am a Celebrity” when he would deliberately say a four letter word (starting with c and ending in t) on live TV. Source: johnlydon Via: nme |
