With the desire to create functional furnishings that allow museum-goers to experience their surroundings comfortably, Dan Golden and Jen Huh came up with this public chair design.
The base of the chair has a rounded rectangular shape that allows for people to sit on every side, with a central backrest that can be accessed by all. Without any armrests or separators, the piece is a continuous seat that can comfortably fit several people without creating any obstructions to the view. With a neutral color palette, this communal bench would be perfect in art galleries and museums so that viewers can feel relaxed and comfortable while enjoying the exhibits around them.
The structural shape of this public chair design will be complementary to a spacious setting.
