Born in Tokyo in 1936 and creating masterful art since the 1960s, Keiichi Tanaami has always been a forward thinking leader in the world of pop art. Over the years his work has not been bound by any genres; he has worked with design, fine art, poster art and video. His latest work is a collection of psychedelic pop art paintings reminiscent of 50s pop art and 60s mind-bending poster art.
In the 1960s, Keiichi Tanaami met with Andy Warhol in the United States. This meeting inspired Tanaami to create art without boundaries. Ever since, his art has been undeniably original.
Some of Tanaami's significant past accomplishments include creating album art for the Monkees and Jefferson Airplane, as well as creating the iconic 'No More War' poster as a part of the anti-war movements.
