In an astounding feat of creativity and ingenuity, Christina Stephens decided to build herself a prosthetic leg using only LEGO blocks.
As an occupational therapist and researcher, Stephens has the basic know-how to create a new detachable limb, and also has a knack for constructing and rebuilding things, giving her some amazing background experience for this experimental and interesting project. While the building block leg is not the most sturdy or practical as the ankle tends to snap clean off without warning, the project demonstrates a great deal about the playful personality and conceptual creativity of the designer.
Christina Stephens craftily built the prosthetic leg out of LEGO blocks over the course of two days and it took her a total of two hours to fit it to her leg.
