'jEugene' is a start-up that proofreads legal documents in order to catch mistakes or errors. While software engineers have many programs available to help catch errors when writing computer codes, lawyers have no comparable tools. jEugene provides a new way for lawyers to edit and review their work.

jEugene operates as an automated system for reviewing legal contracts. Users simply upload a document and then download the file with the detected errors. The user can then review the errors and determine whether any changes need to be made. While some of the errors jEugene detects may appear innocuous, something as small as a spelling mistake could have dramatic and costly consequences.

By proofreading legal documents, jEugene helps lawyers catch errors or mistakes that could be detrimental to a document's validity.
