This 3D-printed clock design by architect and industrial designer Ekaggrat singh Kalsi introduces an innovative new form for tabletop mechanical clocks.

While it may seem that there are many parts involved in the 'HOLO Clock,' the design is quite minimalist, with only two ring mechanisms that rotate to tell time with two affixed hour and hand markers. Other components on the device include a motor and gears, which power the movements of the mechanical clock.

The inventive design of this clock speaks to the freedom that 3D printing gives makers to engineer the design their own home objects in a whole new way. Currently, the HOLO Clock kit is running as part of an online crowdfunding project.
