In in effort to cater to consumers looking for more gourmet ingredients, Subway recently began selling Artisan Pretzel Roll Sandwiches in Central Pennsylvania. As demand for fresh and flavorful new ingredients grows, the introduction of these new sandwiches could signal an impending change for the popular sub shop.

The Artisan Pretzel Roll Sandwiches feature a round pretzel roll stuffed with either turkey or ham. Customers can then customize their sandwich with their choice of cheese and veggies. As an added bonus, customers in Central Pennsylvania will also be able to order the limited-time Herlocher's Dipping Mustard as a fat-free, salt-free condiment option.

The new pretzel buns not only signal the introduction of more gourmet ingredients, but it also serves as a noticeable departure from the oblong buns the chain is known for.
