While shark-related deaths are far and few in-between, all it can take is a predator sighting and proper communication to keep incidents as infrequent as possible. That is where the Sharktivity app comes into play, acting as a central hub for sighting information to keep consumers visiting the beach up-to-date if there are any in the area.

The Sharktivity app is a mobile platform put together by The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy that offers a way for consumers to stay in the know about recent sightings. The app updates in real-time and sends push notifications to alert consumers if an ocean predator in their area has been seen. The app can also be used to monitor tagged sharks.
