 MyGallons.com Could Save You Big Bucks A new site, MyGallons.com, allows Americans to pre-purchase their gas online to save money. With current gas prices constantly fluctuating, the service allows people to buy when prices are good, letting them fuel up at the same rate at later dates too. “A member’s price per gallon at the time of purchase is based upon the average gas price in the zip code of their account’s billing address,” the Sun Herald explains. “For example, if a customer pre-purchases fuel for $4.00 per gallon and redeems 6 months later when gas prices have risen to $5.00 a gallon, the consumer saves $1.00 per gallon.” The only kicker is that if prices suddenly drop, they risk overpaying.  After registering on the website at www.MyGallons.com and receiving a MyGallons Card, members will be able to pay the current price for gas to be stored in their accounts as a credit balance in gallons. Members can then use their secure MyGallons Card to fill their tank at over 95% of the nation's gas stations. The MyGallons Card is swiped right at the pump just like a debit card.
