Alessandro Isola Creates a Practical Table

Alessandro Isola has come up with a practical table design, which makes perfect sense when looking at it for the first time. It's a combination of a carpet and a table, with the edge of the carpet folding upwards into a hardened surface for people to rest certain items.

This way both the carpet and the table are combined as one piece of furniture. Considering coffee tables are often placed on top of a throw rug, merging the two together makes a lot of sense. Granted, one disadvantage would be the increased difficulty in moving the table section, as it is attached to a large piece of cloth. However, it works well for anyone who enjoys sitting on the floor, or if one just wanted to rest some books on the area.
