Going green is a movement that designers are capitalizing on. The table may look pretty routine, but the impact isn’t. It’s covered in solar panels and can produce enough electricity to run your laptop or even a TV. Sudia Design Labs made the table weatherproof and includes batteries to store power. It’s chargeable in three hours of full sunlight. Three hours of laptop time can be used before your laptop battery is tapped for power.
Most parts of the table are aluminum and it comes flat-packed in recycled materials, which makes for easy transportation. With Sun table, you can convert your backyard into an office. Priced at US $3600, the Sun Table is available for pre-order now and will start shipping in March 2008.
