Many people have been trying to understand the latest “pod” obsession. Thanks to Microsoft (iMac, iPod, iTunes), the suffix has been added to all sorts of products. Trend Hunter rounded up some of this year’s best… and they aren’t all related. Which leaves us wondering: what exactly classifies something as a “pod”?

We’ve seen it all, from pet-pods and perfume-pods, to anti-wrinkle eye pods, luxury Hov Pods and pod hotels in Amsterdam. Just to give you an idea of how many “pod” trends we’ve spotted, this collection only dates back to April 2007.
