UNICEF's PlayTimer App Sets a Timer for Playing with Your Child

By: Laura McQuarrie - Published: • References: unicef.org & itunes.apple
If you'd like to devote some more time to playing with your child, the PlayTimer app form UNICEF is one that puts kids in charge of playtime. To get started with the app, PlayTime requires that you take a snap of your child and set a timer for a specific amount of time—the phone will only be unlocked again with another photo of the child's face, using facial recognition, so if you need to get back to work, you'd better hope that they're feeling cooperative.

The app is a fantastic way to set aside some time that will be completely free of distracting notifications, work emails and other incoming interruptions. UNICEF's app was designed in accordance with 'The Children’s Rights and Business Principles,' which states that "employers have a responsibility to provide employees with caring responsibilities a family-friendly workplace with reasonable working hours."

The UNICEF PlayTimer app is free to download on iTunes. Stats for Kid-Controlled Playtime Apps Trending: This Year & Buzzing
