You can now 3D print an iPhone case using plastic bottles originally used to hold soft drinks. Imagine that? You twist off the cap of your favorite fizzy beverage and think, "I'm gonna turn you into a new iPhone case." Crazy.

What's even crazier, is that we humans create an intense amount of waste from these plastic bottles alone, so not only is this 3D printer a cool concept, it's helping the planet as well.

3DSystems claims to be bringing "high school shop class to the 21st century" by implanting these 3D printers in mainstream markets. They're easy to use thanks to ekocycle cartridges made in part from recycled 20 oz plastic containers. is actually the co-creator of the product just in case your cool-radar isn't amped up enough.
