Could Planet 581c be our future home? Possibly, according to a group of scientists. Located 20 light years from our solar system, this planet has an environment quite similar to that of planet Earth… at least as far as temperature goes, which looks very good in terms of the potential for liquid water.

Further research is in the works and scientists wait with baited breath on the outcome.

For the first time, astronomers have discovered a planet outside our solar system that is potentially habitable, with Earth-like temperatures, a find researchers described Tuesday as a big step in the search for “life in the universe.” (truthdig)
