ReVamp Vintage Swimwear recreates bathing suit styles from the past. Whether you’d like to wear a 1936 ruby red skirted bather or a risqué WWII vintage two-piece, you can get it new from ReVamp. The styles are true to their origins. Many are recreated from old patterns or designed by combining two designs from thrift-store finds. Fabrics are authentic, so watch out for those ‘see through when wet’ cottons and those ‘I stretch like a rubber band’ knits if you’re actually going to swim in them. If you want to look the part of a golden era pinup, these are just the thing.  The types of fabrics used in the original garment were matched exactly. This means that stretch lycra used in contemporary bathing suits are not used in this or any of our other designs. You will find your experience wearing this suit to be comparable to the experience of a woman who wore the original in 1936.
