Al Gore is one of the partners behind the funding for PicLens, an add-on created by Cooliris that transforms your browser into a full-screen, 3D experience for viewing photos and videos.

PicLens is extremely user-friendly and can be installed on most web browsers. It supports a range of sites, including the image search engines from search sites, social networks like Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, Hi5, and Friendster, and photo sharing sites like Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa, DeviantArt and Smugmug. You can shop Amazon or search MSNBC, ESPN, movie trailers or surf the latest media feeds on the 3D Wall.

PicLens does not produce any unwanted advertising at this time and you cannot search your computer images with it as of yet.  This has to be about the most visually appealing way to search online picture/video files yet invented and the most efficient.
