While there are already many places on the web to host and share your images, a new free photography website called Photrade presents a unique paradigm that protects your shared images and enables you to make money off them.

Launching in beta, Photrade works as a bridge between photographers and those who need and are willing to pay for these photographs. Besides the typical options of sending images to your blog, myspace or sharing them with friends a family, you can set your own prices to sell prints and stock images. The site also offers a revenue sharing Adcosystem module that gets your paid whenever your photograph is viewed anywhere on the Internet. So having a popular photograph can bring in money, even if no one buys it.

With digital photography becoming mainstream (almost everyone has a digital camera these days), I think the concept and mechanism of Photrade is very attractive and can provide amateur photographer with a convenient platform to protect and benefit from their images.

Check out the official video above explaining how the site works.
