The brilliantly strange work of Olaf Breuning massively appeals to me. The 38-year-old lives and works in New York and Zurich and produces some very random, yet awesome art.

The gallery of this post shows a selection of the photographs, but Breuning also has installation, film and sculptural pieces.

Breuning draws heavily from popular culture and creates the strange and totally appealing trademark feel of his work, by blending humor with innovative concepts. The end result frequently exploits the thin line between humor and pain.
