The Hollywoody photo platform is a comical and amusing face-swapping app for consumers that love films and movie culture that allows them to intergrade themselves into the movie. The app creatively lets users seamlessly swap their faces in for those of actors to assume roles in popular films to see what it would be like if they starred in them.

The app is a spin off of the selfie phenomenon, allowing consumers to take a photo of themselves that is then superimposed over that of an actor in scene of a film. Users can watch themselves become part of the film instantly and add filters to the illustration to then share on social media.

Apps such as Hollywoody give consumers an outlet to express their movie culture fandom while leveraging popular social media movements, such as the selfie.
