The Fujifilm Finepix Z700 is the first to offer “pet detection” software. In other words, it waits until your pooch smiles to snap the picture!

This point and shoot camera is the first to boast such enhancing technology, and who wouldn’t love it? I myself am an addictive pet-picture-taker—hoarding my Facebook account with album upon album of pictures of my beloved pets.

But beware—with any new technology that comes out right away, the Fujifilm Finepix 2700 does have a few kinks to be worked out. It works great with still-standing animals (a.k.a. well behaved pets) but has trouble tracking moving animals. But, like any little digital camera we have, action shots are tough to nail down unless done by a professional!
