Dr. Eugenia Cheng is a mathematician who came up with a formula that delivers a perfect pizza. If you've eaten pizza at any point in your life, chances are you've come across a slice that is too heavy or lacking on sauce, crust or an even assortment of your favorite toppings.

Cheng's research comes from the University of Sheffield and describes "a direct correlation between the size of a pizza and the experience of eating it." But it doesn't take much math to figure out that more toppings equal more mouthfuls of flavor.

Although this might seem like a silly use of math, PizzaExpress, a UK pizza chain is taking this research to heart. Inspired by Cheng's perfect pizza formula, it added 15 grams of dough to its recipe. Stats for Mathematically Perfect Pizzas Trending: Older & Average
