Paul Newman tributes are hitting major magazines and television networks as the media tries to capitalize on the death of a megastar. A Paul Newman film festival will air on Turner Classic Movies. USA Today had a multiple page tribute of the life and career of Paul Newman. The Anaheim Ducks stopped a hockey game to show a clip of Paul Newman in the movie “Slap Shot.” People magazine rushed to put together a huge special issue with blue-eyed Paul Newman on a blue background. Bio Remembers: Paul Newman will air on the Bio Channel. People magazine will release a 96 page soft cover book about Paul Newman on October 11.
