U.S. Patent Number 1428065 is a sex calculator. This was a device for predicting the sex of your child that was invented by HUBERT BOYDS TIDSWELL in 1920. Here’s how it worked: you had to have already had a child, know its gender, and know the birth date of your unborn child. Voila, you’re having a boy. How does such knowledge get lost in the sands of time?
