If you're an art history buff, a painting of the Pope might look a little different in your mind. The Pope is and has always been a super power, and in the mind of a street artist, this image translates to none other than a superhero.

Located in Rome lies a graffiti illustration on the side of a building that renders the Pope as a superhero. Mauro Pallotta depicted the Pope in his all-white attire, complete with his scarf and bag in hand—as the Pope prefers—a black satchel that reads "Valores" or "Values" in Spanish.

The Pope is depicted flying through the air with the blue and red colors of his favorite Argentinian football team, San Lorenzo. The artist illustrated the Pope as an icon and superhero because he believes Pope Francis stands on the side of the people.
