DVD cases are large, clunky, and unattractive, which is exactly why Pago de los Capellanes, a Spanish winery, has said goodbye to those hideous black boxes and packaged their company DVDs in these visually pleasing fold-out containers.

Drawing inspiration from sunrises, the paper packaging for Pago de los Capellanes DVDs sandwiches discs between slitted and folded pieces of paper. The disc conveniently pops up from the center of the container when opened for easy access from users, and folds into an envelope when closed. It isn’t hard to see origami’s influence on this ingenious packaging, and I’m sure some readers out there wished all DVDs were presented this manner.
