It is now possible to keep your feet cool and dry even if they’re soaked in water.  With the super-hydrophobic ion-mask coating from P2i, shoes can now repel water without compromising the breathability and comfort of the wearer’s feet.

“Ion mask™ applies a protective layer, just nanometres thick, over the surface of the shoe by means of an ionised gas or ‘plasma,’ Ispo said. “The treatment not only coats the external surfaces of the shoe but also the inside, between and around the individual fibres in the shoe, making it particularly effective on shoes containing synthetic materials.”
