The Oval smart sensor is a compact and affordable motion, light, temperature, moisture and proximity sensor that allows you to track things in and around your home as long as they're within a radius of 457 meters.
The system allows users to connect sensors to a gateway that is connected to a router. The sensors can alert the users through a mobile app, email, text message or direct phone call. When in the companion app, users can see exactly what's happening with tracked objects and areas.
The developers of the Oval sensor have taken to Indiegogo to raise funds for production of the product. A pledge of $99 will get you a sensor and a gateway, with delivery expected to take place in February 2015 if the product meets its fundraising goal.
