This home combines the outdoor terrace and recreation room to create inventive outdoor living spaces.
Although space can sometimes be compromised in a compact home, one solution can be to integrate the outdoors with the overall design of the house. By placing a terrace beside the living space with a retractable glass door, this space can now use the spacious outdoor terrace as an extendable living room.
When the terrace isn't being used, perhaps during cold winters, the floor-to-ceiling door provide tremendous sunlight, and a perception of space. This compact home set in a small German village is used as a vacation house by its owners but is also rented out for travelers.
