As far as first world problems go, one of the most pressing in our society is how annoying it is to effectively separate the cookie from the delicious Oreo icing.

Leave it to physicist David Neevel to create a machine that removes the last stumbling block between an Oreo eater and all the Oreo icing they can eat without the annoying cookie part getting in the way. The video was actually created as part of Oreo maker Nabisco’s Cookie vs. Cream campaign, which will be showing mockumentary videos over the next few months as other people submit and show off their cookie icing separating machines.

Neevel’s machine is especially impressive in the fact that it uses a full-sized hatchet to separate the icing, which somehow works better than you’d expect. Stats for Cookie Icing Separators Trending: Older & Chilly
