Angelo Garro is a San Francisco-based blacksmith with a penchant for hunting and foraging organic food whose spiced salt, called 'Omnivore Salt,' is so delicious that it has spawned art. Werner Herzog, the documentarian famous for 'Grizzly Man' and 'Into the Abyss,' has created a short documentary to help publicize Omnivore Salt's many benefits.

Herzog's Omnivore Salt documentary talks about the importance of eating healthy and organic food, especially when more people than ever are consuming large amounts of sodium, sugar and fat. Garro's salt is made with a spice recipe passed down through generations of his family, originally in Italy. This means that the product is not only delicious, but it also tricks its consumers into using less salt, since each pinch of salt also contains the added spices.
