A live drummer set the scene for the Oliver Spencer Fall 2014 Menswear Collection. The collection takes advantage of the diverse, multi-generational casting and adds authenticity to wide, cropped and mismatched suiting in mealy, flecked tweeds.

The designer's attention to detail came through in subtle idiosyncrasies like the contrast of buttonholes or buttons down a blazer front. The intricate denim-like jacquard is a distinct update on the camouflage trend that's seen in many collections as well.

The collection is bohemian, featuring bright red plaids, dark greens and wide-brim hats. It's an alternative look for men that I think will be very popular in the fall and winter seasons; it's relaxed, effortless and masculine by its very nature. The models themselves do an excellent job in representing the collection's sashay.
