Will Hollywood Stop Obsessing About Thin?

Thin is still very much 'in' in Hollywood. Britney's performance at the VMAs drew a lot of attention for her lethargic performance and lack of talent, but also sparked countless conversations about her weight gain. This just re-emphasizes our society's focus on extreme body obsession.

98% of women would envy Britney's post-pregnancy body. Of course, as the mother of two, having custody issues and not having the chiseled physique that she used to, it may not be the best lifestyle and career choice to dress as provocatively as she does. Still, I'll say it again, horrific performance aside, she still looked pretty hot. Not every woman has to be a size 0. Articles regarding her weight or shape reinforces the mania that drives women to anorexia and bulimia.

See the trend below about Angelina Jolie being too skinny to do nude scenes, the trend about the universality of photoshopping photos, and the one on Jenna Jameson removing her breast implants. The media needs to get real so people can live their lives with realistic role models not plastic special effects.
