The 'Rude Hand Gestures from Around the World' infographic compiles an illustrative and obscene gesture list featuring some of the most profane hand gestures used in several different cultures.

British flight booking website Just the Flight compiled this rude hand gestures list to show how hand gesturing is a language of its own. In the infographic, each hand gesture is represented in a colorful illustration followed by a description of the gesture's origin and a tiny map to represent the region it is recognized in. Some hand gestures are universal, some are trans-lingual and others pertain only to one specific culture.

This infographic fittingly begins with the utmost recognized obscene gesture in the world -- the middle finger -- followed by the witty quip, "Isn't it nice not having to worry about meanings getting lost in translation?"
