The White Stripes are known for being rock performers with heavy guitar lyrics, while The Oak Ridge Boys are known for their country and gospel music.

For The Oak Ridge Boys’ latest CD release, “The Boys are Back,” the band covered The White Stripes’ hit “Seven Nation Army.” While there are lots of cover songs in the world, cross-genre covers from older bands doing younger bands’ music is a rarity.

It’s an interesting take on a modern classic for sure, perhaps one your grandmother would approve of.
