Coming out of Montreal, Quebec, Noémiah is a jewelry line that uses feathers, chains, semi-precious stones and metal to create handmade statement pieces. Typically, 27-year-old designer Noémie of Noémiah first chooses a feather and then draws inspiration from its color, length, texture and shape. From that, she will add on to the Noémiah pieces, working with quality metal materials.

Anything from the Noémiah collection will garner attention due to its size and vivid coloring.

Implications - Consumers are becoming increasingly more attracted to handmade products due to the environmental concerns associated with mass-produced items and for financial reasons. Companies can benefit from this by merging with small businesses or independent designers to harness the DIY sense.
