Located in Berg by Lake Starnberg, a recreation area for the people of Munich, Germany, Nobis House is a stunning minimalist creation.

Architect and engineer Susanne Nobis designed this house for her and her family. The Nobis House is made up of two different living spaces which are connected in the middle. One is for the main living area and the other contains the guest rooms and office space.

Modeled after traditional boathouses which are on the water, Nobis House sits at 60 centimeters above ground. The effect is a structure that looks as if its lightly floating.

Both modern and classic, Nobis House is what living in futuristic olden days would look like.

Implications - Modern society presents so many different stresses to its citizens that consumers are looking for ways of relief. Designs that promote a tranquil feeling are appealing to those who want to forget their responsibilities for a moment. Coming out with more items like this could help a company solidify its brand on the market.
