Monitor as a Docking Station - Apple's New Patent

US Patent Office registered a new Patent to Apple. It refers to a docking station in which a laptop can be embedded into the monitor / desktop.  The two are connected through wi-fi and Bluetooth.

According to the patent, this docking station shall hold one or more of the following: a camera, a speaker, a microphone, a storage device, a memory card reader, a telephonic handset, a battery charger, and a remote control signal receiver.

Hence, convergence between laptops and desktops might be not so far.
