Nike 'The Pool' was formerly a public swimming pool in Degenham, England, in the 1970s. Widely recognized skatepark designer Dave Sowenby has transformed it into a one-of-a-kind BMX facility for practice and competition.

According to HypeBeast, "The Pool will be open to the public to watch or ride for free until June 12, 2011, with an ongoing 4-week program of core events, community interaction and beginner workshops run with bikes, supervision, pads and helmets available for those who need them."

The facility kicked off with a global competition comprising the world's best riders, including Garrett Reynolds, Dennis Enarson, Harry Main and Jason Phelan, and will be open to the public starting today. And, for the first week, anyone can come in and ride for free! The Pool is one of the largest and craziest indoor skate parks in the world and with Olympic-sized bleachers lining the sides, it promises loads of entertainment for both spectators and riders!
