The ‘Art + Science of Super Natural Motion’ installation is Nike’s newest innovation to test the ‘Freehyperfeel’ sneaker technolgoy. It is a live body-mapping, temporary installation delivered by a digital artist studio called Universal Everything. It illustrates the brainwaves produced by bare feet and converts them into a visual art.

The installation experiments with three running surfaces: stone, sand and grass. These surfaces create a response to the visitor’s body movements and are then interpreted into abstract experiences. For example, audio and physical responses to stone resemble a forest of meditation. Participants wear neuro-headsets to record their navigation and sensory reactions to the running surface textures. Each result is independent of each other, psychedelic and mystifying.
