New high-tech 'robogloves' help detect illicit guns

The manufacturers claim the £200-a-pair gloves are superior to hand-held metal detectors as they enable a search to be carried out more discreetly.

The roboglove has a built in metal detector, so when patting suspects down it will automatically detect things like guns and knives. When a metallic object is detected the officer is informed by the roboglove vibrating.
