New Delhi - Buy’em Books and Send Them to Law School … (VIDEO)

India’s High Court Justice, Justice V. B. Gupta, has ordered a lower court judge, Judge R. K. Tiwari, back to law school for a refresher course, after the High Court Justices became annoyed with his rulings. “Since Tiwari does not have even elementary knowledge of the criminal law and procedure it would be appropriate that he undergoes a refresher course at Delhi Judicial Academy,” he said. The court cites lack of legal understanding by lower court judges.

Gupta is requesting a progress report from the head of the law school. To send a message to other lower court judges, copies of his order were sent to all New Delhi judges.
