First of all because it’s so cute, and then because it can be so useful, this little thing should be the next hit in cool gifts. This new Japanese bot helps at home because it can flip the lights and turn on the TV, and when connected to the net the bot can even be operated remotely when you’re not nearby to shout commands in person.

With all this, what do we want a Nabaztag for? The bot works with voice commands, understanding a range of 100 words at first and capable of understanding up to 10.000. They say nothing about news reading or weather forecasting, but such capabilities are supposed to be included, aren’t they? Sounds “simple” for a bot that turns on the TV…
