The Next Advancement In Hands Free Gaming[Edit]
If you have the Emotiv EPOC Neuroheadset, games can literally ready your mind. The hardware and software are able to interpret your thoughts and over 30 facial expressions, including smile, blink, and wink. It can also interpret your emotions so that, for example, if it senses you are very frustrated, it can make the game easier in real time. Although not yet commercially available, Emotiv is looking for beta testers, with sessions to be conducted in March and April 2008 at their offices in San Fransisco, California. According to their website, if you don’t mind having your brain waves recorded (non-invasively, of course!) for an hour or so, “participants who fully complete a documented evaluation session will be granted a significant discount on their early edition direct-to-consumer Emotiv EPOC neuroheadset kit”.
