People are like single socks, just waiting for the day they find their other half--the Dating Site has decided to capitalize on this metaphor through a clever guerrilla marketing tactic.

The Dating Site is the brainchild of Heye & Partner GmbH; they have strategically placed lonesome socks in laundromats to be discovered by potential singles in order to lure them to the site.

I guess it's not so surprising, being able to relate to an inanimate object. I mean, Ikea certainly struck chords in hearts around the world with its commercials. With the tag line "Also Single?," the Dating Site is sure to attract some new, hopeful clientele.
