The 'Shokan House' is a unique family home hidden in the Catskill Mountains. While New York City may be an urban jungle, the area surrounding the city is home to a beautiful mountainous region. This home demonstrates just how peaceful life can be 160 kilometers north of New York City.

The Shokan House is a family home located in the heart of the Catskill region. The home is perched on the edge of a reservoir, which falls just below the summit of a mountain. The home is nestled in the side of the mountain, which provides beautiful views of the surrounding region. In order to maximizes the view, the architects installed a glass wall along the entire length of the house. These windows stand two storeys tall, which means visitors are able to look out over the surrounding tree tops.

The Shokan House provides the perfect escape from city life.
