The 'Nest Aware' home monitoring subscription is more than just a way to keep tabs on one's abode. As Nest is hoping to show, the video feeds can be used as a creative way to remember family events. To encourage users to make use of the subscription service as such, Nest Aware now offers a new feature called 'Instaclips.'

Instaclips are a quick way to make time-lapse videos based on the footage from Nest cameras. Though Nest has already offered the ability to mark when action is taking place in the video, Instaclips are a one-click feature that lets users turn that footage into something perfect for sharing. By pressing the Instaclip button at the start and end of some action, the system will automatically create a time-lapse video.
