Nail shops are a hotbed for a certain niche culture and the Nefer/Nfr exhibit at New York City’s Capricious Gallery knows this. Beginning today, the gallery will be displaying works of art that will depict all aspects of the beauty shop—from waiting areas to impossibly long fingertips.
Nylon.com explains that “ultimately, the show is all about adornment, and the ways in which we dress ourselves up (or down) as a means of artistic expression.” Look out for artists like Kenya Robinson and Olivia Wyatt at the Nefer/Nfr exhibit and be sure to check out the pictures above if you can’t make it to see the real thing in NYC.
