Nature Morte by Claire Brewster, an artist based in London, United Kingdom, is an installation comprised of intricate metal artworks. Taking on forms of animals such as her previous work made out of city maps, these sculptures are made out of acid etched brass. This refers to the fact that they have been cut with the use of acid. Although the artist's motto is, "Capturing the essence of nature in everyday materials," this process doesn't sound very 'everyday.'
Set to exhibit on June 5th at Pitfield London, all of the pieces featured in Nature Morte by Claire Brewster will be mounted on the wall. Displayed with dramatic lighting, there is a play with shadow, which brings the pieces to life. People will be astounded by the amount of detail in each work.
